Dear New Admittee,

On behalf of the Genesee County Bar Association, congratulations on passing the State Bar Examination and your imminent admission to the practice of law. The Association will host an admission ceremony for new admittees on Thursday, June 4, 2009, 4 p.m., in the courtroom of the Honorable Duncan M. Beagle, Genesee County Circuit Court, 900 S. Saginaw Street, Flint.

If you wish to participate in the ceremony, please complete and return the enclosed form which confirms your attendance, identifies your sponsor, and informs us of the number of guests that will be attending the ceremony.

If you do not have a sponsor, Genesee County Bar Association Past President Kurtis L.V. Brown will be on hand to offer words of welcome and sponsor your admission. A brief biography will be needed in advance of the ceremony.

Also, remember to bring with you the following information:

1. A $ 25 check made payable to the Genesee County Clerk to register and receive your identification number

2. Your letter identifying that you passed the Bar Examination

Plan on arriving a few minutes early to allow time to meet the bar president and receive final instructions. Again, on behalf of the membership and from the staff of the Genesee County Bar Association, congratulations and best wishes.
