John S. Beagle Scholarship

The Genesee County Bar Foundation makes scholarship funds available to ABA-accredited law school students from Genesee County (State of Michigan) entering their junior or senior academic year. Students who have successfully completed one year of law school is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Enrollees of any law school in the United States will be considered, but preference will be given to those attending  Michigan law schools. An interview for applicant finalists will be scheduled.

The deadline for the scholarship application is May 1st of each year, timed to coordinate with Law Day. Law Day is a celebration of the rule of law across our country and we host a series of activities in collaboration with the Genesee County Bar Association. After the deadline, the selection committee will review all applications and interview a select few. Everyone who applies for a scholarship will be notified of the outcome by early summer.

There is one criteria for those chosen as scholarship recipients: mandatory graduation from law school. Failure to graduate from law school will result in the forfeiture and repayment of the scholarship.

Let us know what makes you the ideal candidate for the John S. Beagle Scholarship.
