Greg Gibbs served as chair of the State Bar of Michigan District B Committee on Character and Fitness through 2015. He was also a member of the State Bar of Michigan Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee. He has written on federal practice issues for the Michigan Bar Journal and served as the Michigan Bar Journal's federal practice theme editor. Mr. Gibbs is a previous recipient of the Jerome F. ORourke Advocacy Award that is given annually by The Centennial American Inn of Court. He has also been active for many years in the Flint Branch of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. He has also served as a member of the Judicial Advisory Committee to evaluate applicants for the U.S. District Judge appointments in the Eastern District of Michigan.
