Gregory T. Gibbs is the managing attorney of the Law Office of Gregory T. Gibbs where he practices with his son Alec Scott Gibbs and his Spouse Ann A. Lerche. Focusing his practice primarily on employment law, he provides representation to clients in Flint and throughout the Greater Detroit metropolitan area in a variety of matters, including wage and hour complaints, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, FMLA cases, compensation programs, labor arbitration, collective bargaining and sexual harassment. The firm protects the rights and benefits of thousands of municipal retirees through its representation of the three retiree organizations comprised of retirees from the Cities of Flint, Saginaw, Wayne and Pontiac Michigan. Greg Gibbs has also handled criminal defense, civil rights and constitutional matters at both the trial and appellate levels.
Greg Gibbs attended Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1976. Admitted to practice in Michigan, he is also admitted to practice before several federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 6th and 7th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. As part of his employment law practice, he has appeared before numerous state and federal agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Michigan Employment Relations Commission and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.
Greg Gibbs served as chair of the State Bar of Michigan District B Committee on Character and Fitness through 2015. He was also a member of the State Bar of Michigan Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee. He has written on federal practice issues for the Michigan Bar Journal and served as the Michigan Bar Journal's federal practice theme editor. Mr. Gibbs is a previous recipient of the Jerome F. ORourke Advocacy Award that is given annually by The Centennial American Inn of Court. He has also been active for many years in the Flint Branch of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. He has also served as a member of the Judicial Advisory Committee to evaluate applicants for the U.S. District Judge appointments in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Griffin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, July 17, 1945. He attended Tulane University of Louisiana, graduated in 1967. He is a 1970 graduate of the Wayne State University School of Law. Mr. Griffin was 1st Lieutenant in the JAGC, U.S. Air Force between 1970 and 1972. He maintains memberships in the Genesee County Bar Association (past president), State Bar of Michigan (past chairperson of the Negligence Section), American Bar Association, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (past president), Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and was the recipient of the 2001 Michigan Trial Lawyers Association Respected Advocate Award for Defense Counsel, as well as the recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Case Evaluator of the Year from the Genesee County Bar Association.
